Baltimore City Real Care Providers
Press Conference Along with other Community Leaders and Activists
Baltimore Maryland – Christina Flowers Founder/Advocate of Belvedere Real Care Providers Network with other community leaders. Would like to address a state of Emergency Issue for our homeless population to support the call for Action that our City’s Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake called on the Baltimore City’s COC (Continuum of Care Committee) to get a RFP (Request for Proposals) to establish a new nonprofit to manage and spearhead the city Homeless $40 million plus budget. For another city agency like our Mayor’s Office of Homeless Services not to be transparent with the public, grassroots homeless advocates, and faith based- organizations to have the opportunities to be a solution to this homeless epidemic that’s approaching during our winter months. Our homeless population funds has taken two major hits one from $3.7 million mismanaged funds that had to be repayed and now $3.8 million will not be received from HUD for 19 out of 21 Homeless Programs.
